Better Jobs Ontario

The Better Jobs Ontario program (formerly known as Second Career) helps laid-off workers in Ontario gain new skills and training to find employment in high-demand fields. It provides financial assistance (up to $28,000) for education, living expenses, childcare, transportation, and other costs related to career transition. The program is designed to help individuals who have been out of work or need new skills to re-enter the workforce.
