They are employed by advertising, graphic design, communications, construction, architectural, interior design and multimedia production companies; retail establishments, museums, hospitals, airlines and hotel and restaurant chains; festivals, performing arts and broadcasting companies; clothing, textile and manufacturing companies; and artisan guilds, colleges, private studios and recreational organizations; or they may be self-employed.
